We remember our beloved Kuya Ben Dichoso, former marketing director of GK USA and a volunteer of GK USA for almost 20 years.

For Ben Dichoso - fondly called "Kuya Ben" by those dearest to him - it is faith, family, and freedom that guide him as he serves as an instrument of God's will and goodness. For almost two decades now, he has been shedding light on people's lives as a Gawad Kalinga volunteer in the US.
A retired member of the US Federal Services, Ben's dedication to the spirit of volunteering led him to assume the role of GK USA Area Director for Washington DC, while juggling his dream role of leading his own consulting company. Ben and his parents/family were one of the first village builders. He was also the former Marketing Director of GK USA.
In 2019, Ben was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer and was given 4 years to live. He said that he wanted to use those years to continue to do the good he found in GK. In between exhausting treatments, Ben managed to join other GK Advocates at the 2019 GK USA conference in Tampa and expressed his desire to be a mentor to the Next Gen.
Donations will go to the Dichoso-Gray GK Village in Botolan, Zambales.
