Our team at Houston, spearheaded by Bong and Carol Tulud, partnered with Houston Unity Lions Club and Houston Royal Oaks Lion Clubs to raise funds for PPE, and provided soft cloth masks and head covers to essential workers, frontliners, and the community. At the time of this writing, GK Texas established a team of sewing warriors, and donated $600 to purchase materials and fabric.
They delivered 83 headcovers and 82 face cloth masks in Houston. Additional masks and headcovers were delivered to Oklahoma, California, and Philadelphia. Special thanks goes out to Top Tailors and Feb Amethyst. They were also able to deliver different PPE’s to different hospitals in Houston, including Houston Methodist Hospital, MD Anderson, Memorial Hermann, different home health agencies and clinics. In addition, they were able to hand out N95 masks to several police officers in Houston.
